Watch part 2: How To Use Video To Market Your Business
Hi I’m Brian, Following a recent post I made about ‘Why Video Marketing Is The Future Of Content Marketing’, in this video I’m going to be outlining ‘7 video marketing tips for your business’.
With video marketing rapidly growing, businesses are becoming aware it’s a great way to connect with your customers, followers and fans. Getting yourself in front of the camera with a friendly voice, a smile, helps to build rapport and helps your customers relate to your business on a more professional level.
People are spending less time reading endless web pages of text, so it’s important that you have video as one of your content marketing strategies.
Ok, so let’s get into these seven tips for marketing a business with video;
1. Offer value
Every time you are creating content, you have to deliver value. Put yourself in your customers shoes, think of them. Offer tips, resources, product reviews, how to’s, training, solve problems, frequently asked questions your customers are asking or videos on questions they should be asking.
2. Include a call to action
ok, so what do you want your customers to do once they have arrived on your website, point them in the direction you want them to take. It could be to sign up for an email list, leave a comment, download a report of some kind, there are many different call to actions you can have, but make sure you have one.
Use relevant keywords in the video titles and descriptions. The title want to be appealing, informative, catchy and your description should within the text limit and again make it appealing, catchy, but stick to what the video is about.
4. Respond to objections
Videos are a great way to respond to upset customers, so don’t be afraid to. It shows you care
Pick a focus, don’t try to cover a ton of things. Think about what your message is going to be, what the point of tis video is and stick to it.
Publish the video to your website, whether it’s one for the home page, news or service page etc… make sure the majority of the video is above the fold on your site so they don’t have to scroll down before they come across it.
Think about setting up a YouTube account (Download free YouTube business channel set up checklist!), after all it is the second biggest search engine. Share on your social networking sites, you might add a press release if it’s for a new product or service.
Keep it short and to the point. Most people check how long the video is for before or as soon as they start watching it. Create videos within the 4 minute mark. That doesn’t mean you need to aim for 4 minutes, if you can get your message across in 60 seconds then that’s the length it should be.
ok to summarise then;
- offer value
- include a call to action
- a catchy, appealing title including the keyword
- respond to customer objections
- keep focused on your message
- publishing your video
- length - remember keep it short
