Are You Camera Shy? How To Make Your Video Shoots Simple
Hi I’m Brian, a lot of people think creating video is difficult or they don’t feel comfortable in talking to a camera. In this video I’m going to cover a few tips to that will make your life easier when you’re in front of a camera.
Don’t Make It Complicate
Yes, keep it simple, I’m sure you have heard that before. Pick a simple topic to start off with.
Be in a relaxing environment. It might mean being with someone you’re comfortable with or maybe you’d prefer to record when there is no one else around.
Prepare A Script
What’s your message going to be, prepare a script but don’t read off them on camera. Videos should be casual and conversational. You might like to start with have bullet points as reminders taped just below the camera but don’t keep looking down.
Keep It Brief
Don’t make it complicated or long, trying to get every point across. Set out two, three or four bullet points you want to focus on. You can always make a part two, three, if needed.
You want your video to come across as being natural, you’re human not a robot. So don’t worry if there are the odd ums, or errs. If there are too many then take some out in the editing process. If you use your hands when you talk then show your body language. Don’t be afraid to look away from the camera now and again.
Make It Engaging
Encourage comments, videos are great for email marketing, social media, they go hand in hand. If your viewers are talking and sharing it, then it becomes viral and helps to build brand awareness.
Call To Action
Usually at the end of your video. What do you want your customers to do.
