A lot of people seem to struggle when creating content for their website or blog. What to write about, where to get ideas from.
Well a simple process is setting up a system where relevant, interesting, up to date content comes to you. So you don’t need to be scratching your head anymore thinking about what to write.
Ok so what am I talking about, well it’s a simple process where you have an alert system that emails you when a keyword or key phrase is published online..
First step I recommend you set up is a separate email address for it. Select a name that’s not related to you or your business. What I wouldn’t recommend is having them come in to your business email, which can end up being distracting.
So an email address just for your alerts.

See which one or ones would best suit your business. You can start off with Google Alerts and see how you get on.
What would you set up then?
I would have an alert for your name, your business name, that way if you get a good or bad review you can find out about. Either thank the person or deal with the reason you got the bad review, show you care.
Any products you offer, keywords or key phrases you want to create content about, your competitors, see what they are creating content about and anything else you want to source information about.
Now to have a bit of organisation with this system is to create folders or labels if you use gmail and filter the email alerts to the relevant folder or label.
The email address that i use is also the same for when i subscribe to something, someone.
Now that you’ll have lots of ideas to start creating your own content you need to get into a routine and do it. Set out a plan, let’s say if you’re beginning you want to create one article or video a week. Then set a day and time when you’ll go through your alerts, make your notes and create your article or video.
One on your own name and business name you might want to be notified as soon as, so you can deal with any issues quickly.
